Oh, boy! I’ve never been soooo restless in anticipation for a movie before in my life!

From Walt Disney Pictures and my favourite genius of a director Tim Burton comes an epic 3D fantasy adventure Alice in Wonderland, a magical and imaginative twist on one of the most beloved stories of all time. This is not exactly the Alice in Wonderland you know since childhood. In this story, 19 year-old Alice returns to the whimsical and I must say pretty stoned world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends, White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum (played by that obese dude from Little Britain), the Dormouse, the hookah-smoking Caterpillar, the grinning Cheshire Cat whom I used to be so scared of when I was small, and of course, the Mad Hatter played by my most favourited actor of all time, Johnny Depp, who is also Alice’s love interest. Yah! Mad Hatter is in love with Alice or is it the other way round? I think it’s darn hot! Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland is quite different from the original Lewis Carroll one.

Here, Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror. No free candies if you can guess who’s playing the Red Queen! It’s Tim Burton’s long-time girlfriend and female muse, Helena Bonham-Carter. This time, she looks like the, you know, bobble-head Jesus that people usually stuck on the car dashboard… See?

I expect lots of CG. Probably the entire film is shot against green-screen save for the actors. It doesn’t appear to be as dark as I originally thought it might be, but it still looks like a lot of fun. I mean, Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter! Alan Rickman as The Caterpillar! Please tell me you’re as excited as I am! March 2010 seems like a very long time from now… OoooOOoooOOoo!!! I can’t wait! I can’t wait!
