As I was flipping through the latest ‘Designing the Brand Experience’ book, I couldn’t help staring at a spread for the longest time. I fell head over heels in love with this candy store in Barcelona called Happy Pills. The brand has an ingenious concept with one of the most innovative designs! Speaking of brands with personalities; this one is just plain fun, fun, FUN!
The insight to the brand is that sweets can give people a little high, what makes them like bites of happiness. The store is like a pharmacy, the brand and packaging are inspired by pharmaceutical design. It’s up to you to pick what ‘prescription’ you want and how much you want to fill in the bottles. The bottle will be sealed with a tamper-proof cap and you can choose which label suits your mood, for instance, “against Mondays” or “against the intolerable lightness of being”. There are happy pills four-time daily, happy pills for pocket and a ‘First Aid Kit’ for emergencies.
Cool, right? Bye-bye anti-depressants!
