From the age of 6 onwards, my father would put me through a series of bizarre activities just to teach me not to be afraid when I was older. This included climbing the roof of my house, being locked in a suitcase and holding on to the bonnet of his car as we drove home from family dinners. Looking back at his unorthodox teachings, I am glad that fear was driven out of me then, which now allows me to pursue any adventure head on.
