It is indeed true that consumers nowadays cannot be fooled. They are smarter than ever, and are in power of their own decisions.

Thanks to the Internet, they are exposed to a world of truths. They no longer buy gimmicks, pretty ads or spunky taglines. They can now choose what they want to see, and not what the advertising agencies force feed them to see.

And they are most likely to trust what theirs friends (or fellow bloggers) have to say the most.

It is a very serious matter.

And because of that, advertising agencies are now upping their game.

Traditional mediums that they have been banking on for aeons are slowly meeting their inevitable ends. Bigger and bolder approaches are needed. Virals, social media, guerilla tactics, and even working hand-in-hand with bloggers… They key is to latch onto the truth of the product (remember, there’s no use boasting about something that isn’t true), cut down on the frills and get the message out there.
